Geumjul (금줄) – a traditional Korean sacred rope – is often hung at the entrance of a house to keep away evil spirits and welcome a new beginning, usually when a baby is born. The rope is typically decorated with charcoal and dried red peppers, symbols of purification and strength.

Glass is a unique material that embodies a paradoxical blend of fluidity and solidity. In its molten state, it flows with a graceful liquidity, capturing the dynamic moments of transformation. Yet, as it cools and solidifies, it preserves that very moment—frozen in time.

In this metamorphosis, glass itself becomes a threshold, a delicate boundary that imprints the continuous flow between time and space. This inherent duality is at the heart of our lighting design, inviting you to experience the ever-changing dance of light and time.

Through hot glass working, from gathering to blowing, the glass captures the movements. In cold working, through sand blasting and dremeling, it is refined and shaped. Finally, threading these time pieces onto strings—evoking liquid glass—preserves time’s flow in light.
